comfortable and lively bar in Lincoln Park, is adding something
very special to their diverse, creative, and unique weekly
schedule. In brainstorming for new creative events appealing to
their music loving patrons, the concept of letting the crowd
dictate the evening"s music came to light with "I-TUES". In true
fashion of today"s digital world, the old jukebox can be
transformed from a finite list of CDs, to a collective experience
of sharing "what"s on your pod"; leading to an infinitely eclectic
mix of music flowing throughout the evening. Now here"s the best
part... The DJ for a portion of the evening can be you! By bringing
your Apple IPOD, or Mp3 player, you will be able to
plug into The Tonic"s massive sound system and permeate the
airwaves with whatever playlist you choose. In addition to being
great fun if you chose to take center stage for a portion of the
evening, the overall result achieved is patrons being exposed to
all sorts of new music that will expand their minds, and as a
result, their music collections. The Tonic Room understands that in
a world where top 40 hits are splashed across radio and music
television, it"s sometimes difficult to be exposed to new, fresh,
and under the radar music. Since it"s doors opened in 2001, The
Tonic Room has developed their schedule to feed the diverse demands
of their patrons with an array of Live Music, DJs, Cinema Nights,
and Open Mike"s events, and now with their most exciting idea yet -
"I-Tues", this little bar is making an impact on nightlife in a big
